To say we are pleased here at Dakley is an understatement.
     At the 9th National Dachshund Specialty show here in Brisbane on 9th August our beautfiful little bitch Ch Dakley Elisheba (right) was crowned Best in Show under noted Northern Ireland Judge, Gerry McFaul.
     In achieving this award Sheba had to get past 308 other dachshunds of all coats and in miniature and standard sizes.
     Sheba is by Ch Welcumen Cool Dude (Imp UK) and Ch Dakley Sarai

     Just two days after Elisheba won Best in Show at the National, Ch Dakley Noahs Mariska won Bitch Challenge at the Brisbane Royal.  For “Missie” this was a great achievement as she had only ever won one bigger award, that of being Australian Bred in Show at the National in Perth in 2006.  She is better known as the Dachshund that spent 19 days in the wilderness outside Bundaberg after falling out of the Dakley dog trailer in 2005, before being found.
